System Collapse Causes Widespread Outage Across EEDC Network

By Our Reporter

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC), in a statement signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Emeka Ezeh, notifies customers of a recent collapse of the national grid.

The general system collapse occurred at 13:52 hours on November 5, 2024, leading to a widespread loss of power supply across the EEDC network. As a result, all interface stations connected to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) are currently without supply, impacting customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, and Imo States.

The EEDC team is on standby and awaiting further details from the National Control Centre (NCC) in Osogbo regarding the cause of the collapse and timelines for supply restoration.
