
The Anambra Central People’s Forum, a registered Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization championing the revival and preservation of the dying Igbo Mother Tongue, tagging along with the Anambra State Ex- President, Assistant National Vice-President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo at various times, Prof. (Engr.) Philip Nwabueze Atanmo (Isimmili Ogidi), has extended its congratulations to the newly appointed Chairman, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council (ASTRC), His Majesty, Igwe Chidubem Iweka (Eze Iweka III of Obosi Ukwalla kingdom).
Anambra Central People’s Forum, in its congratulatory message made available to Journalists in Awka on Friday and jointly signed by the trio of Achebe Chris, Esq .(Chairman); Chief Uchechukwu Okeke (Director, Publicity and Advocacy), and Prof. (Engr.) Philip Nwabueze Atanmo (Isimmili Ogidi), pledged unalloyed support and encouragement to Igwe Iweka’s traditional leadership.
The Press Statement read in part: “We share in the joy which pervades all of Anambra State on account of your meritorious appointment as the Chairman, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council (ASTRC), by His Excellency, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR), the Executive Governor of Anambra State.
The Forum notes that Igwe Iweka steps into shoes left by another distinguished Igbo leader, HRM, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, CFR Mni(AGBOGIDI), Obi of Onitsha, under whose leadership we saw a revitalized traditional institution strengthened by unity and common interest to the advancement of the course of Igbo nation.
“The Forum further notes that His Majesty, Igwe Chidubem Iweka is a distinguished, accomplished and respectable Traditional Ruler whose tenure, hopefully, will mark a significant improvement in modern management and leadership principles to traditional governance and the progressive evolution of the culture of our people and Anambra traditional system alike.
“The Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization, Anambra Central People’s Forum championing the revival and preservation of the dying Igbo Mother Tongue wishes the newly appointed State Chairman, ASTRC, a successful and productive leadership as we collaboratively dedicate to salvage the Igbo language from extinction”.
On his part, Prof. (Engr.) Philip Nwabueze Atanmo, Anambra State Ex- President and Assistant National Vice-President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo at various times congratulated the newly appointed State Chairman and prayed for God’s continuous guidance, protection, good health and longevity upon him.
He said, “I join other eminent sons and daughters of Anambra State to pray God to grant Eze Iweka many more years in sound health to continue the reign in Majesty!
“May your legacy as the second Chairman, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council (ASTRC) remain a shinning example for generations to come.
“We pray your reign continues to be blessed with endless vision, wisdom and strength.
“Do accept our sincere goodwill and warmest felicitations, Your Majesty, Igwe Chidubem Iweka (Eze Iweka III of Obosi Ukwalla kingdom), Atanmo said.
