The Action People’s Party (APP) in Anambra State has officially announced that its gubernatorial primary election will take place on April 9, 2025, at 12 noon through the indirect primary method. This decision aligns with the timetable and schedule of activities released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement issued by the Anambra State Chairman of APP, Hon. Chukwujiokem Okeke, the party expressed its commitment to electing a credible, competent, and people-oriented candidate who will not only lead APP to victory but also reposition Anambra State on the path of positive growth and sustainable development.
Hon. Okeke emphasized that the party remains deeply dedicated to the interests of the electorate, reiterating that people’s welfare remains the top priority in all APP’s political engagements and policy decisions. He further assured Ndi Anambra that the APP is fully prepared and equipped to present a candidate with the vision, capacity, and integrity required to drive good governance, economic growth, and infrastructural development in the state.
With confidence in the support of the people of Anambra, the APP Chairman stated that the party is determined to emerge victorious in the forthcoming governorship election. He called on party members, stakeholders, and the public to actively participate in the primary election, and the ongoing APP online membership registration, urging them to remain steadfast in the mission to enthrone purposeful leadership in Anambra State.
The APP’s primary election is expected to set the stage for a keenly contested gubernatorial race as political parties gear up for the 2025 Anambra Governorship Election.
