The Anambra State chapter of the ACCORD Party has declared its readiness to deliver a major upset in the upcoming governorship election, riding on the back of a peaceful and transparent primary that produced Sir CC Onyeze as its candidate.
Addressing the media shortly after the party’s gubernatorial primaries held in Awka, the State Chairman, Chief Batho Igwedibia, expressed confidence in the party’s growing momentum.
“The peaceful and credible nature of our intraparty election is a strong pointer to the kind of surprise ACCORD is set to spring at the polls on November 8,” he stated. “We are not just the first on the ballot; we are the best prepared to win and reposition Anambra State for sustainable growth and development.”
CC Onyeze secured a landslide victory at the primaries, polling 95 out of 105 votes. Speaking after the count, the National Organizing Secretary of ACCORD, Elder Ibe Kenechukwu, described Onyeze as “a well-groomed, accomplished son of Anambra, who has excelled in business and philanthropy.”
“Our candidate is arguably the most prepared among all contenders. He is young, visionary, and widely admired for his service to humanity. CC Onyeze’s emergence has sparked fresh energy among the youths and repositioned ACCORD as a party to beat. With him, victory is within reach,” Elder Ibe added.
On her part, Hon. Uju Izuakor, Director General of the CC Onyeze Humanitarian Foundation, highlighted his quiet but impactful humanitarian efforts across the state.
“Many beneficiaries of his foundation have never even met him. CC Onyeze doesn’t care where you’re from; he only cares that you’re human and in need. His selfless service has touched countless lives. I believe Ndi Anambra will reward his compassion by electing him as their next governor,” she said.
Party members unanimously declared their full support for Onyeze’s candidacy, describing him as an exceptional leader and the face of a new, people-driven era for Anambra State.
