The attention of the Coalition of Registered Political Parties, Enugu State has been drawn to publications in the social media signed by one Afam Ani and Kenneth Ikeh representing themselves to the public as Chairman and Secretary respectively of CRPP. While we agree with the acknowledgement of the governor’s giant strides and transformational leadership in Enugu State, we wish to refute the claim to the leadership of the group.
We wish to clarify that there is only one recognised body of Political Parties in Enugu State by the name Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC). The CRPP is a special branch of the IPAC under the leadership of the IPAC Chairman or his delegate.
IPAC hereby wishes to inform the general public that the leadership of the Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) has been reconstituted. The newly appointed executives are: Hon. Obioma Nnamani of BOOT Party as Chairman, Hon. Aliyu Adamu of NNPP as Secretary and Hon. Anthony Udeani of YPP as treasurer.
The general public is hereby urged to disregard any purported message emanating from any other person(s) who are making claims to the leadership of CRPP. Those are some elements that are bent on causing needless confusion and dichotomy for some selfish reasons.
Those who signed the press release cleverly did not reveal how many political parties are with them because they knew that doing so would have revealed that they do not have the backing or authorisation of majority of the 19 registered political parties operating in Enugu State.
IPAC uses this medium to caution Afam Ani to key into the programme of political parties in Enugu State towards total support for the Governor Peter Mbah instead of pursuing narrow and shortsighted initiatives aimed at seeking undue relevance and undermining the duly constituted leadership of IPAC/CRPP.
The Coalition of Registered Political Parties under the able leadership of Hon. Obioma Nnamani, who is also the Chairman of IPAC in the State, has extoled Governor of Enugu State, pointing out his outstanding performance and the people oriented projects being executed by the Governor.
