As the Anambra South Senatorial by-election draws closer, Labour Party candidate Barrister Donald Chidi Amamgbo has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots engagement, promising to work with the feedback received from his extensive consultations across the senatorial district.
Fondly known as Okosisi Ihiala, Barr. Amamgbo has embarked on numerous community visits and stakeholder meetings aimed at understanding the most pressing needs of constituents in Ihiala, Aguata, Nnewi, Orumba, and beyond.
According to the frontline contender, the feedback gathered during these interactions will shape his legislative agenda and constituency projects if elected to the Red Chambers.
“I am deeply encouraged by the honest conversations and insights I’ve received during my visits. I am going to the Senate to represent the people, not myself, and that starts with listening,” he said.
Supporters have described him as “the people’s choice,” citing his humility, accessibility, and genuine desire to serve. With a clear vision for sustainable development and people-focused representation, Amamgbo says he is fully prepared to hit the ground running once elected.
Observers believe that if elected, Anambra South will witness unprecedented transformation through purposeful legislation and impactful constituency projects rooted in the needs of the people.
Barrister Amamgbo remains the only candidate in the race who has publicly articulated his readiness to act based on grassroots feedback, a move many say reflects true leadership.
