Pledges Support for Growth and Institutional Development

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has named Senator Uche Ekwunife, Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, as Patron of its Anambra State chapter.
The appointment was formally conveyed in a letter signed by the Institute’s Registrar/Chief Executive, Akin Morakinyo, HCIB. According to the letter, the decision was in recognition of Senator Ekwunife’s distinguished public service, leadership acumen, and her long-standing commitment to economic and institutional advancement. The Institute expressed confidence in her ability to bring integrity, professionalism, and strategic insight to the banking sector in Anambra State and across Nigeria.
In her response, Senator Ekwunife conveyed her sincere appreciation to the CIBN leadership and members for the recognition. She described the appointment as both an honour and a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the progress of an institution vital to Nigeria’s economic stability.
