The campaign organization of Senator Uche Ekwunife, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Governorship Candidate in the forthcoming Anambra election, has disowned and condemned a publication falsely attributed to her camp.
The controversial article, which circulated recently, alleged that Mrs. Nonye Soludo, wife of the Anambra State Governor, had children for Chief Chris Uba.
Reacting to the development, Senator Ekwunife firmly distanced herself and her campaign from the claims, stressing that although she has repeatedly been maligned, defamed, and disparaged by the Governor’s media team, the said publication did not originate from her or anyone associated with her camp.
The Senator went further to tender an apology to the Governor, his wife, and members of the public who may have been unsettled by the altercations of the past few days.
She also urged her supporters to remain focused on the ongoing campaign and avoid being drawn into any form of media exchange that could be perceived as a confrontation with the First Family or any other individual.
The statement was signed by Tony Ezike, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Senator Ekwunife.
