The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State has vowed to stop what it described as a desperate attempt by the outgoing administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo to retain power after what it called a disappointing four-year tenure.

Speaking in Awka during the inauguration of the APC Campaign Council, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Basil Ejidike, strongly criticized the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)-led government, accusing it of failing in virtually all sectors.

The APC further alleged that the Soludo administration had failed in its primary duty of securing lives and property, citing incidents of abductions and killings, including the murder of the only son of APGA’s women leader and the deaths of serving lawmakers, which remain unresolved.

The party also lamented the state’s sharp fall in the national basic education ranking. from first place under previous administrations to 33rd out of 36 states. despite higher allocations from the federation account.

“The reality is that Ndi Anambra cannot afford to reinforce failure for another four years,” Ejidike declared, insisting that the APC presents a credible alternative through its governorship candidate, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON.

Ejidike urged Ndi Anambra to rally behind the APC ahead of the governorship election, stressing that Ukachukwu and Ekwunife have demonstrated capacity in leadership, philanthropy, and service, and would restore effective governance, security, and true democracy in the state if elected.
