The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom), CON, has joined the Catholic faithful and the people of Anambra State in celebrating the 72nd birthday of His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of the Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province.
In a heartfelt goodwill message, Senator Ekwunife described Archbishop Okeke as a beacon of humility, compassion, and unwavering devotion to the service of God and humanity. She noted that his impactful leadership within the Church and society has continued to inspire millions through faith, education, and moral guidance.
“Your Grace, your life of humility, compassion, and steadfast commitment to divine service have remained a guiding light to many. You have shown what it means to lead with love and integrity, nurturing not just the Catholic community but also the broader society through your exemplaryservice,” she wrote.
The APC Deputy Governorship Candidate prayed for God’s continued grace upon the Archbishop, asking that he be blessed with good health, wisdom, and divine strength to continue shepherding his flock with renewed vigor.
“As you mark this milestone, may the Almighty God sustain you with His boundless wisdom and grace to keep leading His people in faith and righteousness,” Ekwunife added.
She concluded by congratulating the revered cleric on his 72nd birthday, describing him as “a true father, spiritual leader, and moral compass for the people of Anambra and beyond.”
