The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign gained fresh momentum on Tuesday as the party’s flag bearer, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu (MFR), and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife (CON), stormed Njikoka Local Government Area to rally massive grassroots support ahead of the November 8 gubernatorial election.
A major stakeholder in the area, Chief I. K. Obieki, reaffirmed Njikoka’s readiness to deliver overwhelming votes for the APC. He urged the electorate to turn out en masse, vote, and protect their votes to ensure total victory for the party.
In a symbolic show of support, Dr. Mrs. Ibekwe, speaking on behalf of Nimo women, presented assorted farm produce to Senator Ekwunife, describing her as a dependable leader who has consistently represented women with excellence and integrity.
Also speaking, Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba noted that the campaign had reached its critical stage, calling on Ndi Njikoka to mobilize massively for the APC. He emphasized that an APC-led Anambra State would enjoy the same level of democratic dividends already evident in Imo, Enugu, and Ebonyi States.
Addressing the crowd, Senator Uche Ekwunife described Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu as a credible and visionary leader, stressing that the attacks against him are clear evidence of his growing popularity and integrity. She assured supporters that, as dedicated Christians driven by genuine intentions for Anambra, the APC team would emerge victorious.
Similarly, at Ifitedunu in Dunukofia LGA, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife reaffirmed their resolve to hit the ground running once elected.
Community stakeholders expressed strong confidence in the APC team, declaring that they are already seeing in Ukachukwu and Ekwunife the incoming Governor and Deputy Governor of Anambra State.
“By this time on Saturday, Dunukofia will be celebrating victory. We were in the opposition the last time, but this time, we are united in this project and have no option but to deliver,” a stakeholder stated.
Also speaking, Barr. Chuks Morocco pledged to ensure total victory for the party in his ward. “Because of the love I have for Uche Ekwunife, I will deliver Ukwulu Ward II. I was with her during her gubernatorial campaign under the platform of the PPA, and I have never wavered,” he affirmed.
Unveiling what she called the APC Master Plan for Transforming Anambra State Sector by Sector, Ekwunife said their campaign is built on practical, achievable goals; not empty promises. She declared that their administration’s target is to dwarf the achievements of all previous governors and deputies, setting a new bar for transformational leadership in the state.
