Nigeria’s Defence Minister joined other Defence Ministers in Dubai for Int’l aerospace Defence cooperation.

The Honourable Minister of Defence, His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, on Saturday, 15th November 2025, departed Nigeria for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai for a security summit, Dubai Airshow 2025.

The Minister participated briefly in the Dubai Airshow 2025, scheduled for 17th to 21st November 2025 at its purpose-built venue in Dubai World Central, not staying till the end of the summit as he more interested in getting back into Nigeria to quell rising security challenges.

This year’s edition, themed “The Future is Here,” will bring together thousands of visitors, global manufacturers, industry experts, and defence leaders to exchange insights, explore emerging trends, and experience cutting-edge advancements in aviation, aerospace, and defence technologies.

Defence Minister Badaru’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening international defence cooperation, exploring modern technologies, and enhancing strategic partnerships for national security development.

The Minister on getting information about recent security challenges in the country decided to cut short his stay as he is on his way back to the country.
