Aniekwe Praises Leadership of Umueri Monarch, Igwe Ben I. Emeka (Okebo II), as He Marks Birthday

The traditional ruler of Umueri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Igwe Dr. Sir Ben I. Emeka (Okebo II), has been celebrated for his outstanding leadership, wisdom and commitment to peace and development as he marked his birthday.

In a congratulatory message, the Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Aniekwe, described the monarch’s birthday as an opportunity to reflect on his unwavering dedication to the unity, dignity and progress of the Umueri people.

According to Hon. Aniekwe, the reign of Igwe Okebo II has ushered in remarkable development and measurable economic growth within the Umueri Kingdom, noting that the monarch’s vision and foresight have strengthened institutions, encouraged investment and uplifted communities.

He further commended the royal father for his wisdom, diplomacy and fatherly counsel, which he said have played a crucial role in promoting ethnic cohesion and peaceful coexistence among communities in Anambra East and the wider Omambala region.

Hon. Aniekwe noted that the monarch’s consistent advocacy for truth, justice and fairness has continued to inspire confidence in traditional governance and set a standard widely admired across Anambra State and beyond.

He joined the people of Umueri Kingdom, Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, the Omambala Region, Anambra State and well-wishers across the world in celebrating the monarch’s life of service, honour and humility.

The federal lawmaker prayed that God grants Igwe Dr. Sir Ben I. Emeka (Okebo II) many more years on the throne in good health, sound mind and divine strength, adding that his reign would continue to bring peace, unity and greater prosperity to the Omambala Region and Anambra State at large.
