The Anambra State Chairman of the Action People’s Party (APP), Hon. Chukwujiokem Okeke, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Ndi Anambra, urging renewed commitment to security, citizens’ welfare, and people-oriented governance across the state.

In his Christmas message to mark the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, Hon. Okeke wished Anambra families peace, joy, and renewed hope, describing the season as a reminder of love, sacrifice, and compassion, values he said must guide leadership and public policy.

The APP Chairman called on the Anambra State Government to sustain and strengthen efforts at safeguarding lives and property, stressing that security remains fundamental to economic stability and social progress, especially in the face of prevailing economic challenges.

Addressing the new tax act scheduled to take effect from January 1st, Hon. Okeke appealed for a humane, fair, and responsible implementation, emphasizing that only workers who are legitimately taxable should be assessed. He warned that indiscriminate taxation would further burden low-income earners and vulnerable citizens who are already grappling with harsh economic realities.

Hon. Okeke reaffirmed that good governance is the cornerstone of sustainable development, noting that the APP ideology is firmly anchored on the overall improvement of the people, social justice, economic fairness, and policies that directly impact the wellbeing of the masses.

He further urged Ndi Anambra to embrace the spirit of unity, love, and compassion that Christmas represents, assuring them that the Action People’s Party remains resolute in its commitment to building an Anambra State where governance truly serves the people.

Hon. Okeke concluded by wishing Ndi Anambra a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
