Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, has congratulated her former colleague in the 7th Assembly of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwogbo, on the occasion of his initiation into the ancient and prestigious Ozo Awka Society.
The felicitation followed the successful conferment of the revered Ozonwelu Ibobo title on the former President General of Awka Development Union (ADU), Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwogbo on Sunday 28th December, 2025, by the Awka community.
Hon. Nwogbo, who hails from Umunnoke village, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, represented Awka North and South Federal Constituency in the 7th Assembly of the Federal House of Representatives.
He was initiated during a colourful traditional ceremony held at the Ayom na Okpala Primary School sports pitch, Amaenyi-Awka.
Senator Ekwunife described the initiation as a worthy recognition of Hon. Nwogbo’s integrity, leadership qualities, and contributions to community development and public service.
She noted that admission into the Ozo Awka Society is reserved for men of proven character and honour who have distinguished themselves in service to their people.
She further wished Hon. Nwogbo a fruitful tenure in the revered institution and prayed for continued wisdom and strength as he upholds the values and traditions of the Awka people.
