Ekwunife Prays for Enduring Marital Bliss as Paul Obu Weds Stella in Awka

Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, on Saturday joined family members, colleagues and well-wishers to celebrate the wedding of a serving member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Mazi Paul Obu, who represents Orumba North State Constituency, as he tied the nuptial knot with his beloved wife, Stella.

The solemn wedding Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Charles Udekwe, the Vicar of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Awka, and witnessed by five Reverend Fathers, held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, GRA, Awka, amid a large gathering of dignitaries from across the state and beyond.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senator Ekwunife offered prayers for a sustainable, peaceful and fruitful marital union for the couple. She described Hon. Obu as an outstanding legislator who has distinguished himself in lawmaking, effective representation, robust oversight functions and visible infrastructural development in his constituency.

The Senator commended his commitment to public service and urged the couple to build their home on love, understanding, faith and mutual respect, noting that strong families remain the foundation of a stable society.

In his response, Hon. Mazi Paul Obu expressed deep gratitude to Senator Ekwunife for honouring the invitation despite her tight schedule, describing her presence as a great encouragement which he said would not be taken for granted.

He also expressed special appreciation to the Rev. Fathers, Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife, Asst. Inspector General of Police Zone 13, the Speaker and Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly for all their support and contributions. 

The wedding ceremony was attended by several members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somto Udeze, alongside other dignitaries and friends of the couple, who came out in their numbers to rejoice with the newlyweds.
