…. Urges Higher Standards in Political Engagements

Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, on Friday warmly interfaced with her ardent supporters, sustaining her long-standing tradition of wining, dining with, and rewarding members of her political family during special occasions.
The meeting, which held in her hometown of Nri community, Anaocha Local Government Area, attracted a large turnout of coordinators and grassroots mobilisers drawn from various communities across Anambra State.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Ekwunife expressed deep appreciation to her supporters for their unwavering loyalty, sacrifices, and consistency over the years. She described them as the backbone of her political journey and assured them that their dedication would never go unnoticed.
In a charge to the coordinators, the former federal lawmaker urged them to raise the bar of political engagement, stressing the need for discipline, issue-based mobilisation, and people-centred politics. According to her, politics must go beyond personal interests and be anchored on service, integrity, and measurable impact on the lives of the people.
“Our strength has always been the people. As leaders at the grassroots, you must continue to lead by example, promote unity, and engage politics with decency and purpose,” Ekwunife said.
She further encouraged her supporters to remain peaceful, focused, and committed to democratic ideals, noting that sustainable political success is built on credibility, consistency, and genuine connection with the people.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of gifts and support items to coordinators and loyalists, a gesture that drew excitement and renewed enthusiasm among attendees. Many described the meeting as timely and inspiring, reaffirming Senator Ekwunife’s reputation for inclusive leadership and reward for loyalty.
Reacting to the senator’s kind gesture, like many others, Mrs Joy Okafor from Amawbia defined Ekwunife as a woman of substance, who has made it point of duty to reward her followers occasionally, praying for God’s blessings and protection in everything she does.
The event ended on a high note, with supporters pledging renewed commitment to her political vision and leadership ideals across Anambra State.
