Ekwunife Graces Ichida Royal Wedding, Prays for Enduring Love and Family Values

Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, on Monday, January 5, 2026, attended the wedding ceremony of Chizoba Anthonia and Prince Ugochukwu Charles, held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ichida, Anambra State.

The wedding Mass attracted dignitaries, traditional rulers, political leaders, clergy, and members of the Ichida community, who gathered to celebrate the union steeped in faith and culture.

The reception took place at the Palace of His Royal Majesty, Igwe Ohazulunye, the Obi of Ichida, along Chief Jonah Umeohanu Street, close to the Igboukwu Museum, adding a royal and cultural flavour to the celebration.

Speaking during the ceremony, Senator Ekwunife congratulated the couple and described marriage as a sacred institution that thrives on love, patience, mutual respect, and commitment to God. She urged the newlyweds to uphold family values and remain steadfast through life’s challenges.

Senator Ekwunife also commended the Ichida traditional institution for preserving cultural heritage and promoting family unity, while offering prayers for a peaceful, fruitful, and enduring marriage for the couple.

The event was marked by colourful cultural displays, goodwill messages, and a warm atmosphere of joy, reflecting the strong communal spirit of Ichida town.
