Barr. Donald Amamgbo, Anambra South Senatorial hopeful, has described love as the foundation for peace, unity, and sustainable development in Anambra State, urging citizens to use Valentine’s Day as a moment of reflection on shared responsibility and collective progress.
In his Valentine’s message to the people of Anambra South Senatorial District and the wider Anambra State, Amamgbo stressed that genuine love for the state must be demonstrated through actions that promote unity, security, and good governance.
“Love is not just a feeling; it is a duty. Loving Anambra means protecting its image, preserving peace, and working together for the common good,” he said.
He cautioned against narratives and actions capable of demarketing the state, noting that constructive criticism must always be driven by sincerity and a genuine desire to see Anambra thrive.
Barr. Amamgbo called on the Anambra State Government, led by Chukwuma Charles Soludo, to continue to deepen inclusive governance that ensures all zones, especially Anambra South, feel represented and valued.
He also urged leaders at the state and local government levels to prioritize the welfare, security, and wellbeing of the people, describing people-centered leadership as the true expression of love in governance.
On security, Amamgbo appealed to security agencies, community leaders, and residents to strengthen collaboration and vigilance in order to safeguard lives and property across the state.
He further called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community influencers to consistently promote love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence within their domains.
“Let love guide our leadership, our conversations, and our daily interactions, as we work together to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Anambra,” he concluded.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Ndi Anambra.
