APC Convention: Bago Inaugurates Digital Media Committee, Charges Members on Strategic Communication

His Excellency Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has inaugurated the Digital Media Sub-Committee ahead of the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), scheduled to take place on March 27 and 28 in Abuja.

Speaking during the inauguration, Governor Bago, who chairs the sub-committee, charged members to deploy innovative and effective communication strategies to project the party’s manifesto and engage Nigerians meaningfully.

He stressed the importance of maximizing digital platforms to showcase the achievements and ongoing reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that previous communication gaps had limited public awareness of government efforts and must now be addressed with urgency.

The Co-Chairman of the sub-committee and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, reinforced the Governor’s position, urging members to amplify the activities of both the party and the government across diverse audiences.

He emphasized the need for a coordinated digital communication approach that would present a clear, compelling, and consistent narrative about the APC’s achievements and policy direction.

In a strategic presentation to the committee, the Secretary of the sub-committee and Senior Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Otega Ogra, outlined key focus areas to guide the committee’s operations.

His presentation detailed actionable steps and communication priorities aimed at strengthening the party’s digital presence and enhancing engagement with citizens ahead of the convention.
