Ifejika Hailed as a Beacon of Philanthropy and Igbo Heritage

The Anambra Central People’s Forum, a registered Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization championing the revival and preservation of the dying Igbo Mother Tongue, has lauded Lady Uju Ifejika, OFR, for her philanthropic disposition towards Igbo Language Education.

The press statement by the reputable public organization was made at the Prizes Presentation Ceremony of the Year 2024 Prof. Engr. Philip Nwabueze Atanmo Annual Igbo Essay Competition for Secondary School Students in Anambra State, which took place across the participating winning schools on Friday, 6th December 2024.

At the glittering prizes presentation vividly captured by the NTA Media team, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Prizes went to Nnamdi Azikiwe University High School, Awka (First Position), Father Paul Memorial Secondary School, Awka-Etiti (Second Position), Chinua Achebe International Secondary School, Ogidi (Third Position), and St. Paul’s University Secondary School, Nibo-Nise (Fourth Position) respectively. The student-winners were excited to have won the competition and expressed gratitude to the organizing body and the event’s benefactor, Lady Uju Ifejika, OFR, for the great opportunity, adding that it has helped them to believe in themselves and bolstered their academic confidence. Some of the prizes won include laptops, electric fans, mattresses, pillows, educational materials, cash prizes, exercise books, and other exciting items.

Beaming with fulfillment, the socio-cultural organization described Lady Uju Ifejika, OFR, as an avid lover of education, accomplished Igbophile, notable philanthropist, humanist, and visionary entrepreneur whose remarkable contributions to the business world and the betterment of society have earned her widespread admiration.

Also speaking, the erstwhile President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Anambra State, Prof. Engr. Philip Nwabueze Atanmo, commended Lady Uju Ifejika, OFR, for her uncommon benevolence towards Igbo Language Education, which helped the students in getting a better sense of their cultural background. He urged the people to continue to pray for the woman of quintessence “that God has used to bring positive development to Anambra State.”

Atanmo described the Chairman/CEO of Brittania-U Nigeria Limited as a “remarkable philanthropist with a difference, who has touched the lives of the downtrodden in society positively in many ways.”

On his part, Very Rev. Fr. Paul Ihebighi, School Manager of Father Paul Memorial Secondary School, Awka-Etiti, and participant in the Year 2024 Prof. Engr. Philip Nwabueze Atanmo Annual Igbo Essay Competition for Secondary School Students in Anambra State, said that Lady Uju Ifejika, OFR, has through her numerous philanthropic causes and activities demonstrated that she is truly an embodiment of Christ’s love and human relief. He further remarked that Ifejika was “an angel sent by God to help the needy and the downtrodden in society.”

Meanwhile, the prestigious Anambra Central People’s Forum has congratulated Lady Uju Ifejika, OFR, on her deserving “Woman of Inestimable Value and Heart of Gold Award” and prays that God’s blessings shall continually be consistent and catholic for Lady Ifejika and her family.
