Residents of Olumbanasa Ward 2 in Anambra West Local Government Area erupted in celebration as Hon. Peter Udeogalanya Aniekwe (Macpee) successfully installed 25 solar-powered streetlights across the community.
Represented by his campaign team during the official handover, Hon. Aniekwe emphasized that the initiative is aimed at enhancing security, improving night-time visibility, and fostering economic and social activities in the area.
“My agenda as a legislator is putting the people first. They are the reason I am here, and I will continue to attract impactful projects that uplift our communities and improve the quality of life for all,” Hon. Aniekwe, the Labour Party candidate, affirmed.
The solar-powered streetlights were strategically installed across key locations, including Odeh Community, Odomagwu Community, Igbokenyi Community, Igbedor Community, and Odekpe Community, providing sustainable and eco-friendly lighting solutions.
The project is expected to have a transformative impact on Olumbanasa Ward 2, ensuring safer movement at night while boosting local businesses and economic activities.
