The women of Umudora Okpala Ukwu Anam, under the umbrella of Umuada Umudora home and abroad, have publicly expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Peter Udogalanya Aniekwe, Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, for constructing a modern school building in their community.

The group’s appreciation was made known in a press release issued shortly after the completion of the project. The statement, signed by Iyom Uzochukwu Peter Chukwuemeka, CEO of Prestige Nwanyioma Enterprises and President of Umuada Umudora Abroad Members, lauded Hon. Aniekwe for what they described as “unmatched quality representation.”

According to the statement, “We, the above-named organisation, write from the depths of our hearts to convey our appreciation to Hon. Peter Udogalanya Aniekwe for having thought it wise to site such a signature project in our community. This initiative will forever remain etched in the hearts of the people of Umudora Okpala Ukwu Anam. We believe that even when men forget, posterity will not.”

Speaking to journalists after the group’s meeting, Iyom Uzochukwu described the project as commendable and urged other public office holders to emulate Hon. Aniekwe’s example.

Also commenting on the development, the President General of Ezi-Anam Ward, Chief Charles Igbanugo Okafor (Akuatuegwu of Anam), praised Hon. Aniekwe for his commitment to community development.

He said, “Hon. Aniekwe has written his name in gold. For MacPee Milinaliugwu of Omambala to have achieved this within just over a year in office is proof that he is the right man for the job. If he contests again, he will surely win because he brings development home.”

Chief Okafor called on constituents of Anambra East and West to support Hon. Aniekwe with good advice to ensure the continuous progress of the area.

On his part, the Youth Leader of Umudora Okpala Ukwu Anam, Hon. Vincent Igbanugo (Omaba Tico), also commended the lawmaker, saying the achievement was not a surprise given Aniekwe’s long-standing record of empowering people even before assuming office.

“Politics aside, MacPee is a good man, and everyone knows that. On behalf of Umudora Anam youth both home and abroad, I thank him and wish him more grace to do even more. He has won our hearts with this single project,” Hon. Tico said.

The project has been widely described as a symbol of effective representation and a milestone in grassroots development in Anambra East and West Federal Constituency.
