Ekwunife Mourns Outstanding Ward Coordinator, Isaac Okonkwo

The most distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to the family of one of her most dedicated ward coordinators, Mr. Isaac Chukwudi Okonkwo of Umuanum Village, Nibo, Awka South LGA. Mr. Okonkwo, who served as the Coordinator for Nibo Ward II, passed on at the age of 66.

Describing his death as a painful loss to her political family, Senator Ekwunife expressed deep sorrow and offered heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and the good people of Nibo.

“Isaac was not just a loyal political ally; he was a dependable brother whose selfless service and commitment to our shared ideals left a mark on all of us. He was a man of integrity, a man who stood firm even in the face of challenges. His legacy of loyalty, coordination, and grassroots mobilization will remain evergreen in our hearts,” Ekwunife stated.

Speaking during the visit, the Awka South Coordinator for the Ekwunife Campaign Organization, Mr. Onyi Nwokeke, described the late Isaac Okonkwo as someone fondly called “Government” due to his unwavering passion and dedication to the Ekwunife project. He noted that Isaac’s reliability, trustworthiness, and exceptional coordinating ability distinguished him among his peers.

In his remarks, the uncle of the deceased, Dr. Austin Okonkwo, commended Senator Ekwunife’s unparalleled achievements in public service, particularly highlighting her impactful contributions in Nri, Anaocha LGA. He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon her and affirmed that the honour and relationship shared with Isaac will never be forgotten.

Senator Ekwunife prayed for the peaceful repose of Mr. Okonkwo’s soul and urged the family to take solace in the impactful life he lived and the legacies he left behind.
