By Tony Ezike

In a major political shake-up ahead of the November 8 Anambra governorship election, no fewer than 20 ward chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Aguata Local Government Area, led by Hon. Sunday Nnodi former PDP stakeholder, have dumped the party and declared full allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defectors, speaking at the APC rally in Central School Ekwulobia, openly endorsed the APC governorship candidate, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, describing the duo as the best team to reposition Anambra State.

According to the former PDP chairmen, their decision followed a thorough assessment of both parties’ candidates, culminating in the unanimous belief that the APC ticket holds the competence, capacity, and vision to restore Anambra’s glory and deliver progressive governance.
