The Sustenance of Faith in Governance (SOFIG) Family has declared full grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, ahead of the November 8, 2025 Anambra governorship election.

Speaking at Ifite-Ogwari, Ayamelum Local Government Area, during the flag-off of the group’s 21 LGA tour and the mobilization of polling unit canvassers across Anambra’s 326 electoral wards, SOFIG President, Barrister Kingsley Ezekwelu, described Ukachukwu as the visionary leader Anambra needs at this defining moment.
According to him, “The most meaningful step for Anambra’s grassroots support and mobilization is a transformative change in leadership; one capable of steering the state toward greater progress and glory. That leader, equipped with integrity and proven capacity, is none other than Prince Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu.”
Ezekwelu urged the SOFIG Family members to “make it a date with history” by voting massively for the joint APC ticket of Ukachukwu and Ekwunife, whom he described as a “perfect team endowed with experience, credibility, and vision to reposition Anambra for greatness.”
He noted that Anambra currently stands at a political crossroads and needs a leadership that understands the pains of the people and has the willpower to deliver good governance.
“Prince Ukachukwu has consistently demonstrated capacity, compassion, and commitment to the cause of Ndi Anambra. He represents integrity, development, and inclusiveness, qualities we urgently need to move our state forward,” he added.
Also speaking, the Ayamelum Coordinator of the SOFIG Family, Pastor Emeka Okonkwo, said Anambra deserves a people-oriented and transformational government that restores hope and extends development to every community. He maintained that the APC ticket of Ukachukwu and Ekwunife offers the most credible path to achieving that vision.
“The desired change we have long yearned for can only come through a government led by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu,” Okonkwo asserted. “He is a leader with a proven record of philanthropy and vision, a man who listens and acts decisively. His partnership with Senator Ekwunife will ensure balanced representation, gender inclusion, and development across the three senatorial zones.”
Lamenting the unmet promises of the current APGA-led government, Pastor Okonkwo said Ayamelum has remained neglected despite its loyalty. “It is heartbreaking that despite our contributions, we have not witnessed the development we were promised. That is why we are aligning with a man of calibre, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, fondly called Ikukuoma Ndi Igbo, whose leadership will restore dignity and direction to our politics,” he concluded.
The event, which drew large crowds of party faithful and community supporters, was charged with renewed optimism and faith in APC’s vision for Anambra. Elderly participants offered prayers for the success of Ukachukwu and Ekwunife, describing their joint candidacy as a divine arrangement for the liberation and transformation of the state.
As the rally ended, the mood in Ayamelum reflected a sense of awakening and unity. For many, the message of the SOFIG Family was clear: the time for purposeful leadership is now, and the team to deliver it is Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife.
