Maryland-Based APGA Supporters Congratulate Soludo on Historic Return to Office

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Support Group in Maryland, USA, has issued an open congratulatory message to Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, on their landslide victory in the November 8, 2025, governorship election.

In a statement signed by Engr. Ralph Arinze Anyadiegwu (Ebuchechukwuzo Amawbia), Convener of the group, APGA Maryland described Governor Soludo’s re-election with nearly 73% of the total votes and victory in 30 out of 32 electoral wards across the 326 wards as “historic and resounding.”

The group stated:  

“This victory is not just an electoral outcome but a referendum on good governance, progressive leadership, and a reaffirmation of APGA as the true political identity of Ndi Igbo.”

The diaspora support group commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, for conducting what it called “one of the most transparent, peaceful, and credible polls” in recent Nigerian history and praised the security agencies for their professionalism during the exercise.

It also expressed gratitude to the people of Anambra State for their massive turnout and peaceful conduct, noting that they had “once again proven to be true winners of democracy.”

Looking ahead, APGA Support Group Maryland pledged continued support for Governor Soludo’s second-term agenda, declaring:  

“As Governor Soludo embarks on his well-deserved second term, we remain committed to fostering support to Soludo Administration toward building institutions, deepening democracy, and safeguarding the future of every Anambra son and daughter.”

The congratulatory message has been widely circulated within Igbo diaspora communities in the United States.
