Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, expressed profound joy and spiritual fulfilment over worshipping at St. Lawrence Catholic Chapel, Awka, describing the chapel as a fast-growing and modest community of devoted worshippers united by faith, love, and service to God.
The renowned federal lawmaker noted that St. Lawrence Chapel has, over time, evolved into a vibrant centre of worship, fellowship, and moral guidance, playing a significant role in strengthening Christian values and communal harmony among its congregation.
Senator Ekwunife particularly commended the Chaplain of the chapel, Reverend Father Paulinus Okonkwo, for his outstanding pastoral leadership and immense contributions to the spiritual growth and development of the chapel. She applauded his dedication, humility, and commitment to nurturing a strong, prayerful, and disciplined faith community.
