On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, legal practitioner and public affairs advocate, Donald Amamgbo, has congratulated women in Anambra State, across Nigeria and the global community for their remarkable contributions to society.
Barr. Amamgbo commended women for their resilience, industry, and indispensable roles in nation-building, noting that women continue to shape families, institutions, and economies through their intellect, dedication, and leadership.
Speaking to a Citypost correspondent on this special occasion, Amamgbo urged the womenfolk to remain courageous, focused, and united in their pursuit of personal development and collective progress, emphasizing that education, enterprise, and active civic participation remain critical tools for advancing their cause.
The legal luminary also called for stronger global recognition of women and greater inclusion in sensitive sectors of governance and decision-making. According to him, women must be given more opportunities to serve in notable public institutions, leadership positions, and the political arena where policies that shape society are formulated.
Barr. Amamgbo stressed that sustainable development can only be achieved when women are fully integrated into leadership structures, adding that empowering women is not merely a moral obligation but a strategic necessity for national progress.
He therefore encouraged governments, institutions, and stakeholders to deliberately promote policies that guarantee gender equity, leadership opportunities, and meaningful participation of women in politics and public service.
