In a strategic move to promote environmental sustainability and public engagement, the Environment and Sanitation Sub-Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a nationwide “Clean & Safe Environment Campaign” ahead of the party’s 2026 National Convention.
The initiative, led by the Governor of Kogi State and Chairman of the Sub-Committee, His Excellency Ahmed Usman Ododo, is designed to integrate civic responsibility with the party’s upcoming political activities.
According to an official notification signed by the Sub-Committee Secretary, Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, the campaign is scheduled to officially commence on Monday, March 23, 2026. Participants and party supporters are expected to gather at the Eagle Square Entrance Gate in Abuja by 7:00 am for the take-off.
“This initiative aligns with our broader commitment to environmental sustainability and public engagement towards the National Convention of our great party,” the statement read.
The Sub-Committee has formally reached out to the National Central Convention Committee (NCCC) Secretariat to request collaborative support, emphasizing the goal of delivering a “successful and impactful programme” that reflects the party’s values.
This environmental drive comes as the APC intensifies preparations for its 2026 National Convention, signaling a focus on community-centric activities alongside its internal administrative processes.
