Ekwunife Felicitates Christians on Palm Sunday, Urges Unity, Compassion

Senator Uche Ekwunife,CON, has extended warm felicitations to Nigerian Christians on the occasion of Palm Sunday, calling on citizens to embrace unity, compassion, and selfless service for the good of the nation.

In her Palm Sunday message, the astute lawmaker prayed for a blessed celebration and a fruitful Holy Week for Christian faithful across the country. 

She invoked divine grace through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and all the Saints, urging believers to draw closer to God during the sacred period.

Reflecting on the significance of Palm Sunday, Senator Ekwunife noted that the commemoration of the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem symbolizes humility, sacrifice, and love; virtues she said are urgently needed in Nigeria’s current socio-political landscape.

She encouraged Nigerians to use the Holy Week as a moment of sober reflection and renewed commitment to building a more inclusive and harmonious society, irrespective of status, tribe, or creed.

According to her, “this solemn period provides a unique opportunity for citizens to rise above divisions and work collectively towards peace, justice, and national development.”

The lawmaker further urged Nigerians to show compassion to the less privileged, promote peaceful coexistence, and uphold fairness in all dealings, stressing that true leadership and greatness lie in service to humanity.

Senator Ekwunife expressed optimism that by embracing the teachings of Christ, love, sacrifice, and forgiveness, Nigerians can foster unity and create a better future for all.

She wished Christians a happy Palm Sunday and a spiritually fulfilling Holy Week.
