EASTER: Ekwunife Advocates Commitment to Core Christian Principles

By Tony Ezike

Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, has called on Christians across Nigeria to embrace the core values of love, sacrifice, and unity as they celebrate Easter.

In her Easter message released on Sunday, Ekwunife described the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the cornerstone of the Christian faith and a powerful symbol of hope, victory, and renewal for humanity.

She urged Christians to reflect deeply on the significance of the season by living lives anchored on compassion, forgiveness, humility, and selfless service to others.

According to her, the Easter celebration serves as a reminder that despite prevailing challenges, hope will always prevail, and brighter days lie ahead for individuals and the nation at large.

She noted that Nigeria is in dire need of peace, unity, and collective commitment to nation-building, urging citizens to rise above ethnic, religious, and political differences in pursuit of a more harmonious and prosperous society.

Ekwunife also called on leaders at all levels of government to draw inspiration from the teachings of Jesus Christ by prioritizing the welfare of the people, upholding justice, and demonstrating integrity, empathy, and accountability in leadership.

She further encouraged Nigerians to use the festive period to extend love and support to the less privileged, stressing that acts of kindness and generosity reflect the true essence of Christ’s teachings.

While wishing Christians a joyful Easter celebration, Ekwunife prayed that the risen Christ would fill the hearts of Nigerians with peace, strengthen their faith, and bless the nation with unity, stability, and enduring prosperity.
