Barr. Don Amamgbo has described the emergence of Senator Tony Nwoye, who represents Anambra North Senatorial District, as the Senate Minority Whip as well-deserved.
Senator Nwoye, elected on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), recently assumed the key leadership position in the Senate, a development that has continued to attract commendations from stakeholders.
Reacting to the development, Amamgbo said Nwoye’s elevation is a recognition of his resilience, legislative experience, and commitment to effective representation.
According to him, the Anambra North lawmaker has consistently demonstrated courage, capacity, and dedication to national service, qualities he noted have earned him the confidence of his colleagues in the Senate.
Amamgbo urged the newly appointed Minority Whip to leverage the instrumentality of his office to champion progressive legislative initiatives and promote policies that will drive national development.
He further called on Senator Nwoye to use his new position to strengthen democratic values, foster unity, and advance ideas capable of moving Nigeria forward.
The legal practitioner, business leader and astute politician expressed optimism that Nwoye’s tenure as Minority Whip would not only benefit his constituents in Anambra North but also contribute significantly to the growth and stability of the country’s legislative process.
