The Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary Election Committee in Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, has assured party members and stakeholders of a credible, transparent, and hitch-free presidential primary election scheduled to hold on Saturday across the state.
Speaking with journalists in Awka on Friday shortly after arriving in the state aboard a private jet, alongside members of her committee, Senator Uche Ekwunife stated that all necessary preparations had been concluded to ensure a free, fair, credible, and seamless electoral process.
The revered lawmaker noted that the committee was fully committed to discharging its responsibilities with utmost neutrality and integrity, stressing that all votes cast during the exercise would be properly collated from the ward level to the local government areas before the final declaration of results.
According to her, two aspirants are participating in the APC presidential primary election in Anambra State, namely President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and Mr. Osifo Osayemen Stanley.
“My committee has two candidates on the ballot for tomorrow’s primary election, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and Mr. Osifo Osayemen Stanley, and we are determined to discharge our duty fairly and justifiably, ensuring that votes are collated from the wards to the LGAs and counted accordingly,” she stated.
Senator Ekwunife further observed that the political atmosphere in the state had become vibrant, with party faithful expressing enthusiasm ahead of the exercise, adding that members were eager to participate in the democratic process of choosing a credible presidential candidate capable of leading the party to victory in the forthcoming general election.
She also reassured party members that necessary logistical and administrative arrangements had been put in place to facilitate smooth collation of results and timely announcement of the outcome of the primary election.
“Let me assure you that arrangements have been made to collate results seamlessly and announce a winner before evening hours,” Ekwunife added.
The APC Presidential Primary Election in Anambra State is expected to attract widespread participation from delegates and party stakeholders across the 21 local government areas of the state.
