Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah CON has defined his idea of result-oriented party politics as a process of uplifting humanity through effective coordination of government institutions and available resources which must be strictly applied to meet desired goals.
The Senator made this known while addressing parishioners and guests during the Bishop’s Pastoral visit and Administering the Sacrament of Confirmation at St Lawrence Chapel Mass Centre, Awka on Sunday 21st April, 2024.
Senator Ubah who was Chairman of the occasion hinted on the need for political leaders to boost citizen’s confidence by initiating, implementing and sustaining policies that impact lives and drive economic development in line with constitutional provisions.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream eulogised the ingenuity and commitment of Chief Sir Larry and Senator Uche Ekwunife in going the extra mile to establish a formidable congregation of Catholic faithful through selfless sacrifice, which according to him will not go without commensurate rewards from Almighty God.
Senator Ubah equally expressed deep appreciation to His Lordship, Most Rev’d Paulinus Ezeokafor, Bishop of Awka Diocese for his unparalleled dedication to the apostolic call, where he keeps serving God on the front lines of His Kingdom, facing and sustaining challenges and difficulties beyond what others might encounter and renege on their solemn oath.
He expressed satisfaction that Bishop Ezeokafor has triumphed in faith by excelling beyond expectations in his voluntary promise to God, obligations to the Church, as well as his responsibility to remain a beacon of light to humanity.
The Senator clearly disclosed his intentions for God to use him to create a better society where people could live their dreams and advance proficiently in a very secured and prosperous society.
The high point of the occasion for Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was when the children who were inducted into the Sacrament of Confirmation offered to pray for him. It was such an angelic moment as the voice of the young girl and her colleagues enveloped the worship centre with a special feeling that resonated with the congregation, indicating palpable sign of divine presence.
Senator Ubah equally extended special thanks to the Chapel Administrator, Rev Fr Paulinus Okonkwo, his Co-chairman of the occasion Chief Emeka Eze (Omega), his colleagues at the 10th Senate, Distinguished Senators Eteng Jonah – Chairman Petroleum Upstream, Jide Ipisagba – Chairman Niger Delta, Benson Agadagba – Chairman Host Communities, Benson Kombowei, former Speaker Bayelsa and Vice Chairman Legislation, among other dignitaries and esteemed parishioners.
