Director General South East Governors Forum, Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife CON has described His Royal Majesty, Igwe (Sir) Dr Kris Chinedum Onyekwuluje as symbol of royalty and a rallying point for unity, considering his enviable reputation for excellent leadership and selfless service to humanity.

On the occasion of his last Ofala at Umunya, Oyi council area of Anambra state, Senator Uche Ekwunife eulogized EZE-NYA for sustaining the traditional stool of Umunya community throughout his remarkable 25-year reign of pragmatic leadership, which was underscored by astonishing legacies.

“Your last Ofala brings to an end your 25 years of pragmatic leadership to the good people of Oyi community, and by extension Anambra State where you were ranked among the eminent custodians of the Igbo tradition and culture.

“Indeed your departure @61 has left an indelible void on the lives of your loved ones and teeming admirers. It’s difficult to come to terms with the fact that you are no longer among us. This sad incident has filled our hearts with sorrow and a deep sense of loss.

“Your resilience and determination throughout your journey were truly commendable. Despite facing challenges, you remained steadfast in your spirit and continued to provide excellent leadership to those around you. Your strength in the face of adversity serves as a testament to your remarkable character and unwavering spirit.

“Most spectacular among your achievements was your decision to build a befitting place of worship for Almighty God, which in my opinion is more valuable than accumulating wealth without making corresponding impacts on humanity.

“The lessons learnt from your life are invaluable. Your unflinching commitment to living with purpose and integrity taught us the importance of cherishing every moment and embracing life fully. Your legacies of wisdom, bravery and compassion will forever be engraved in our hearts; guiding us in our own journeys.

“Though you may have left this world, your memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to have known you. May your gentle soul find peace and tranquility in the bosom of the Lord”, she said.
