Political appointee fingered in the Invasion of a Pentecostal Church in Awka

A principal officer of Anambra State government Mr Mike Ozoemena (Ajakwuata) was reportedly involved in the disruption of ongoing religious proceedings in Awka, Anambra State capital.

According to reports gathered from a viral video making the rounds on social media, the Managing Director of Anambra State Waste Management Agency, Mr. Mike Ozoemena purportedly invaded the main auditorium of Grace of God’s Mission located at Araba, Umuzuocha in Awka South. LGA.

Although the rationale behind the operation was not clearly disclosed in the video clip, the probability that the worship center might have breached regulatory compliance of the agency is an angle that requires careful consideration before apportioning blames to either party.

Fundamentally, the Christian community of Anambra State in particular would readily frown at any form of infringement on the order of religious mass or service as the case may be, which however calls for caution from any public or private disruption of the revered process.

Since every organization has its own rules and procedures, courtesy demands that such sensitive issues be addressed on mutually agreed terms to prevent unnecessary escalation of issues surrounding unlawful infringement of rights and avoidable clash between the affected institutions.
