The Director General South East Governors Forum, Senator Uche Ekwunife CON has described the tribunal verdict validating the reelection of Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State as a confirmation of the collective will of Ndi Imo.
Senator Ekwunife disclosed this shortly after the Imo State election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja delivered judgement in favour of the incumbent governor, declaring that Senator Hope Uzodimma remains the substantive governor of Imo State, having won convincingly in the November 11, 2023 gubernatorial election held in the state.
Consequently, Senator Uche Ekwunife wishes to congratulate the governor on this decisive declaration, which represents the collective will of Imo State electorates, noting that the judgement will enable him to focus on his determination to deliver democracy dividends to the people without further distractions that could hinder his efforts to make Imo State more habitable and prosperous.
Speaking further, Senator Ekwunife stated that this victory is a confirmation of the love, trust and confidence reposed on Governor Hope Uzodimma by the good people of Imo State, considering that he won landslide in all the 27 local government areas, which is a strong indication of his acceptability across the component council areas of Imo State.
To this end, Senator Ekwunife on behalf of her family and staff strictly reiterates absolute support for the ebullient Chairman South-East Governors Forum, Governor Hope Uzodimma, with utmost confidence in his capacity to excel beyond expectations in his quest to leave Imo State better than he met it at the onset of his administration.
She seized the opportunity to call on the good people of Imo State, South-East region and Nigeria at large, to always pray for the success of their leaders, which according to her remains the fastest approach towards effectively addressing the prevailing economic and sociopolitical challenges facing the country over the years.
Senator Ekwunife contended that it is difficult to have a good society while projecting a bad image of the leadership, especially when discussing about leaders that have impacted humanity and the society immensely.
