Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) CON salutes and advocates equal opportunities for all children in Nigeria as key to addressing the multifaceted challenges facing the country over the years.
Ekwunife made this known while delivering a special message to mark the 2024 Children’s Day celebration.
“It gives me joy to celebrate all the bright, curious, and amazing children out there, on this special occasion of Children’s Day 2024. Always remember that you are loved, special, and capable of achieving your dreams. So you should never stop exploring, learning, and being your awesome selves.
“I want you to know that you are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers. You have what it takes to keep dreaming big, playing hard, and spreading kindness and love wherever you go. As we celebrate the wonder, and potential of children everywhere. May your childhood be filled with happiness, wonder, and endless possibilities
“I call on parents, guardians, teachers, and government authorities to ensure that all children, regardless of their background, have equal opportunities, access to quality education and essential resources needed for effective upbringing.
“Government especially, should seek international collaboration and support global efforts to improve the lives of children and address issues such as child poverty, child labor, and child trafficking, so that our beloved children would grow up to expectations and actualize their dreams.”
“May the Almighty God in His infinite grace continue to intercede for my beloved children and all our admirable children out there in all circumstances, and also equip them with the necessary qualities to continue doing us proud at all times.
“You are indeed our Hope and our Future. Congratulations!”
