Former Deputy Speaker of Anambra state House of Assembly and now member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency Chief Paschal Agbodike has mocked gubernatorial hopefuls of other political parties over their ambitions, noting that with the capacity and success stories of Gov Charles Soludo administration there is no vacancy at the government house Awka.
Agbodike further contended that with the powers given to the party by Soludo the party is more positioned and poised as ever to retain the strong hold of Anambra state come the next governorship election in the state.
Agbodike stated this when a total of 120 members of the Labour Party and the People’s Democratic Party PDP have dumped their political parties to join the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA.
Similarly the member representing Ihiala 2 State Constituency Chief Golden Chukwuebuka Iloh backed the submissions of Agbodike announcing that more members of other political parties are still on their way to APGA a development that would have multiplayer effects on the fortunes of the party .
He further noted that by the end of this year most political parties would have collapsed into his party for the re- election of Gov Charles Soludo.
The defected members who expressed their disappointed in the leadership crisis in their former party contended that there is no hope fir the two parties in Anambra state adding that the rising profile of APGA under the administration of Gov Charles Soludo is an indication that the party has a firm grip of the State.
Leading the group Ozo Ceasar Obidile noted that he was a member of APGA at the formative state of the party until some elements came in to derail the vision and objectives of the party hence he had to leave the party.
“It is on record that most of us here were members of APGA even at the pioneer level but some elements in the party chose to instill the absence of internal democracy in the party which is against the vision and objectives of forming the party “
“However APGA is back in it’s staple and the monumental achievements of Gov Charles Soludo in the area of the provision of basic infrastructure has also been a great political milage for the party ahead of the 2925 governorship election in Anambra state ” he said.
Welcoming the new members into the party the ward 8 Chairman of the party Chief Nathan Obikwelu stated that ward 8 is the electoral ward of the governor adding that the new members are all equal joiners and founders of the party.
