On that fateful day at the center of the lawn of Ban Hill Hotel and Suite , he was found holding the crowd of guest spell bound during a wedding reception.
He was not that known to the residents of Awka nor Anambra state in general and his voice was yet to sink into the memories of the entertainment community in Anambra.
From one wedding reception to another he was gathering momentum and soon the twist of fate and destiny catapulted him to the center stage , center of the Dr Alex Ekwueme square where he played several assistant roles to the successive Masters of Ceremonies at each occasion.
When the time was ripe , Sheddy Joe , Hon Shedrack Chukwujekwu Nnanna the son of Jesse from Anaku town in Ayamelum local government area of Anambra state became a house hold name both in the government circles and the entertainment industry.
Just recently Sheddy Joe was at the Best Western Meloch Hotel to launch his first music album which attracted a spectrum of the high and mighty in Anambra and beyond.
When Sheddy took the stage , his solo speaking voice enveloped the arena and his guests were agog and trilled to the rendition of his favorite number “Jump Reggae” .
Then came the number dedicated this beloved wife Manni and the guests took over the chorus “it is you , because of your, I always stand by you” ……
It indeed painted the vivid pictorial of a young man that is blessed with multiple talents and this was made manifest when the Chief Of Staff to Gov Charles Soludo Chief Earnest Ezeajughi payed glowing tributes to this colleague at the State Executive Council.
“This shows that our brother Mr Shedrack Chukwujekwu Nnanna is highly gifted and with this performance he would be performing at the opening ceremony of Solution Fun Center “
“This is also instructive that our government is desirous of encouraging young men and women to actualize their dreams “
” The One Youth Two Skills program is yet another example of what the regime of Gov Charles Soludo is doing to engage our youths to become functional members of our society ” he said.
Commissioner for Culture and Entertainment Chief Don Onyenji described Sheddy Joe as one character that has always been a variable source of motivation for the younger generation.
“He is my colleague in the entertainment industry and it did not come to me as a surprise when he told me that he would be launching his music album “
Indeed the show was not without a fresh discovery of a graduate of Geology and an accomplished Disco Jugger DJ Jekky B whose two songs added tonic and flavor to the occasion.
Also Samtio was on stage that day to trill the guests to a splash of Reggae songs while the occasion got to it’s climax with the celebration of his birthday that lasted until Mama called.
To Hon Shedrack Chukwujekwu Nnanna aka Sheddy Joe it is a dream come true and a great joy in accomplishment.
