Ahead of the 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, the Anambra Patriots for Soludo (APS) has launched a robust mobilization campaign across the state’s 179 communities. The initiative aims to showcase the administrative achievements of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
As part of its efforts, APS unveiled a strategic partnership with traditional rulers, presidents-general, women leaders, and the non-indigene community in the state. This collaboration seeks to bridge the information gap for rural voters who lack regular access to the internet, thereby creating an accessible platform to highlight the governor’s landmark accomplishments.
Speaking at the inauguration of APS in Awka, Chief Ejiamatu Enekwechi, Chairman of the group, emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement.
“Given the need to create awareness about Governor Soludo’s remarkable achievements among rural voters who may not have steady access to social media, we have decided to take this campaign directly to the villages,” Enekwechi stated.
He further lauded Governor Soludo’s first tenure for ushering in significant growth across various sectors, particularly in the provision of basic infrastructure.
“It is an undeniable fact that Governor Soludo’s leadership has brought transformative governance to all sectors in Anambra State. As stakeholders and community leaders, we are united in our resolve to support his vision and ensure continuity of his developmental strides,” he added.
Traditional ruler of Umuleri, Igwe Bennett Emeka, echoed these sentiments, calling for unified support for the governor.
“There is no need for further questioning of the administration’s efforts. Instead, we must lend our support to help make Anambra a livable, secure, and smart city,” the monarch stated.
The Convener of APS, Arch. Okey Ezenobi, highlighted the group’s mission, describing it as a platform to sustain the dividends of good governance under Governor Soludo’s leadership.
