The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mazi Ejimofor Opara, has declared that the leadership tussle within the party is officially resolved. He commended the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, for upholding the rule of law in delivering a landmark judgment on the matter.
In a statement, Opara affirmed that the Supreme Court’s ruling has cemented the position of Barrister Sylvester Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman of APGA. He noted that, though justice may sometimes be delayed, it cannot ultimately be denied.
“The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is delighted to announce that the Supreme Court has definitively resolved the leadership tussle in the party and affirmed the leadership of Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa,” Opara said.
“This landmark decision underscores the judiciary’s dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that justice prevails.”
He went on to express gratitude to the judiciary and particularly to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, saying:
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the judiciary, especially His Lordship, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, for restoring faith in the judicial system. Your leadership and commitment to justice are truly remarkable.”
Opara also acknowledged the unwavering support of APGA’s National Leader, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, CFR:
“Your visionary leadership has been instrumental in shaping the values and direction of our great party.”
Furthermore, he lauded the efforts of the Board of Trustees (BOT) and the National Working Committee (NWC), noting their dedication to the party’s ideals.
“The Supreme Court’s decision has finally put to rest any doubts about the party’s leadership. It is a clear testament that justice, though delayed, will always prevail,” Opara concluded.
This judgment from the party’s viewpoint marks a significant turning point for APGA, paving the way for unity and renewed focus on the party’s agenda.
