The Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Peter Aniekwe Udogalanya (Macpee), has once again demonstrated his commitment to the development of his constituency. During a community meeting attended by stakeholders and constituents, the visionary Labour Party (LP) lawmaker passionately urged young people to prioritize education and consider civil service as a viable career path.

Hon. Aniekwe expressed concerns over the dwindling presence of qualified individuals from the constituency in critical public institutions, including security agencies and other notable establishments. He attributed this to the prevalent inclination of young people toward business ventures at the expense of academic and professional development.

“I often encounter challenges finding qualified candidates from our constituency to fill employment opportunities in federal and state institutions. This trend, if not addressed, could hinder our growth and leave the constituency at a disadvantage,” Hon. Aniekwe stated.

The lawmaker further emphasized the enormous opportunities being created through his legislative interventions, including scholarships, employment facilitation, and skill acquisition programs. He reassured constituents of his unwavering commitment to using every legislative tool at his disposal to improve the lives of his people and secure a brighter future for Anambra East and West Federal Constituency.

Hon. Aniekwe’s call to action reflects his belief in the transformative power of education and civil service as instruments for sustainable development. He urged the youth to seize these opportunities and contribute to the socio-economic advancement of their communities.

The community meeting concluded with stakeholders commending Hon. Aniekwe for his proactive leadership and dedication to the progress of the constituency. The lawmaker’s appeal resonates as a wake-up call to reposition Anambra East and West for a more competitive and prosperous future.
