Human rights lawyer, Sir Ifeanyi C. Ejiofor, Esq., has commended the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) for its tireless efforts in exposing atrocities and systemic human rights violations in Eastern Nigeria.
The lead counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) issued a statement on Wednesday, made available to reporters in Awka, Anambra State. He specifically praised Intersociety’s commitment to documenting the systematic failures of governance and the complicity of state and non-state actors in perpetuating these violations.
Ejiofor referenced the organization’s reports titled “Ocean of Innocent Blood Flowing in Eastern Nigeria” and “Human Rights Made in Nigeria”, describing them as a thorough analysis of the grave abuses endured by defenseless citizens in the region.
The lawyer also lauded Intersociety’s detailed account of the invasion of his ancestral home, emphasizing the significance of such documentation in the fight for justice. He described the research as an invaluable resource for the human rights community and a critical tool for international advocacy.
