Medical Practitioner and Avid Academic, Prof. Orakwe, hailed as a Beacon of Philanthropy and Igbo Heritage

The Anambra Central People’s Forum, a registered Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization championing the revival and preservation of the dying Igbo Mother Tongue, has lauded a celebrated Medical Practitioner and avid Academic, Prof. Jideofor Chukwuma Orakwe, who they described as an enigma in the Medical profession with candour and humility that should be emulated, added that he is a Philanthropist of no mean value.

In a Press Release made available to Journalists in Awka, and signed by its Chairman, Hon. Achebe Chris, the Group said: “With a generous spirit and profound understanding of the power of Igbo Language Education, Prof. Jideofor Chukwuma Orakwe has graciously accepted to offer philanthropic support to the 4th Edition of Year 2025 Prof. Pita Ejiofor Annual Igbo Essay Competition for Secondary School Students in Anambra State.

“Hailing from a proud Igbo heritage in Ichida, Anambra State, Orakwe’s journey is a testament to the relentless spirit and determination that define our culture.

From his roots in a traditional Igbo household to his impressive career as a professional Medical Practitioner, Orakwe has continually demonstrated excellence and resilience. Notably, he has made significant strides in education and professional medical practice.

“Orakwe’s dedication to community service and his unwavering commitment to enriching his community, make him a beacon of hope and pride for Ndigbo. His profound accomplishments continue to inspire and uplift us all. He is a true son of the soil, whose remarkable contributions are making a lasting impact on Igboland and beyond”.

It continued: “It is a unique privilege which we shall remember forever, and it gives us strength and courage as we collaboratively dedicate to salvage Igbo Language from extinction, added that Prof. Jideofor Chukwuma Orakwe had never left anyone in doubt about the love of his culture and proud Igbo heritage”.

On his part, one of the Patrons of the Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization, former Vice-Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and Founder, Otu Suwakwa Igbo (Nig.) Initiative, Prof. Pita Ejiofor commended Prof. Jideofor Chukwuma Orakwe for his uncommon benevolence towards Igbo Language Education which will help the students in getting a better sense of their cultural background for the sustained growth of the Igbo race in time and eternity, and urged the people to continue to pray for the man “who has dedicated his life to the advancement of the course of Igbo nation and quality healthcare delivery in Nigeria”.
