The candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP) in the just-concluded Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC Anambra 2026 Chairmanship election, Bldr. Chijioke Okeke (Enyioha), has rejected the outcome of the poll, describing the process as flawed and vowing to challenge it.
Okeke, who secured 8 votes, lost narrowly to his main opponent, Hon. Eminent Uzochukwu, who polled 9 votes; a razor-thin margin of just one vote.
Despite his initial confidence in the leadership of IPAC and the organizers to deliver a credible and orderly process, emerging concerns over observed irregularities have compelled the APP candidate to formally register his dissatisfaction with the conduct of the election.
Sources close to Okeke indicate that he has identified anomalies in the voting process, which he believes may have impacted the final outcome.
Consequently, he has resolved to approach the IPAC Election Appeal Committee to seek redress and ensure that due process is upheld.
“This is not just about the margin,” Bldr Okeke noted, “but about protecting the integrity of the process and ensuring that every vote truly counts.”

As long as I serve as State Chairman, I remain resolute in upholding these core values and ensuring that our party continues to meet the expectations of the people with integrity, transparency, and unwavering commitment”, he stated.
The development introduces a new twist to what was initially seen as a closely contested but settled race, as attention now shifts to the appeal process and its potential implications for the leadership of IPAC in Anambra State.
