The Chairman of the APC Group B House of Representatives Screening Committee, Uche Ekwunife, has commended the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, for what she described as his exemplary leadership qualities, humility, and respect for democratic processes.
Speaking after the screening exercise, Senator Ekwunife said the Speaker demonstrated uncommon statesmanship by willingly subjecting himself to the screening process despite occupying one of the highest political offices in the country.
According to her, the conduct of Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen during the exercise showed discipline, respect for party structures, and commitment to accountability, qualities she noted should be emulated by all public office holders.
“All the people who are in authority should emulate Mr Speaker. He did not only subject himself to screening, but was prompt, articulate, and submissive throughout the process,” Ekwunife stated.
She further described the Speaker as “a gift to the nation,” stressing that his leadership style continues to inspire confidence within the party and among Nigerians.
The Distinguished Senator added that members of the screening committee were impressed by the Speaker’s disposition and wished him success in the forthcoming election.
Senator Ekwunife also reaffirmed the commitment of the screening committee to ensuring a transparent, fair, and credible exercise in line with the ideals of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the forthcoming elections.
