37 leisure, hospitality homes established in Anambra within 2 years

About thirty seven leisure and hospitality homes have so far been established in Anambra state in the last two years; a development that has jump started the dead night life in most towns.

Similarly the growing leisure and hospitality homes in the state is said to have been as a result of the decisive fight against insecurity in the state.

According to the Commissioner for Entertainment, Culture and Tourism Hon Don Onyeji who spoke during the unveiling of Greenville Shortlet And Apartments at Ifite Awka Capital City he noted that such facilities would provide the needed enablers for the entertainment and movie industry in Anambra state.

“Before now, we do not have such facilities due to insecurity which caused the death of night life in the major towns in Anambra state “

“Two Years after we have over thirty seventy of such homes scattered in Awka , Onitsha, Nnewi and Ekwulobia towns and they include hotels dance bars apartments such as the one that we are commissioning today “

Onyenji further noted that the Ministry is going into business with the Movie industry and the operators of the leisure and hospitality homes to provide locations for film production in the state.

Onyenji admonished the proprietor of Greenville Shortlet Apartment to remain focused in her contributions towards hospitality business in the area.

Speaking earlier the Proprietress of Greenville Shortlet Apartment Bar Mandy Nwobu explained that the establishment of the facility is in line with the Think Home Philosophy of Gov Charles Soludo administration.

Nwobu noted that it has become necessary that sons and daughters of Anambra extraction should try as much as possible to invest at home in order to creat employment opportunities for the youths of the State.
